MSG NETWORKS CONTINUES CELEBRATION OF BLACK HISTORY MONTH
WITH A NIGHT OF SPECIAL PROGRAMMING TONIGHT, FEBRUARY 26TH

Highlighted by Premiere of a New Episode of “Connections: Clyde and Earl,” Featuring Knicks Legends Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Earl” The Pearl” Monroe After the Knicks/Magic Game Tonight at 10:30pm

New York, NY (February 26, 2019) – MSG Networks (NYSE: MSGN) will cap its month-long celebration of Black History month with a special evening of programming following tonight’s Knicks game beginning at 10:30pm with the premiere of “Connections: Clyde and Earl” presented by Cadillac.

In this new episode of “Connections,” Knicks legends and iconic African-American athletes Walt “Clyde” Frazier and Earl “The Pearl” Monroe sit down for a powerful conversation on topics ranging from growing up during times of racial segregation, the pressures each faced early on as black athletes, living in Harlem today, basketball memories and more.

Walt “Clyde” Frazier

“When we were growing up, your parents tell you that you have to wear your best clothes and put on your best manners. You’re not only representing the family, but you’re representing your race. In those days your manners meant more than your jump shots.”

Earl “The Pearl” Monroe

“Being in Philadelphia [as a young kid], there were a lot of things going around, gang wars, race riots and things of that nature. So, what I experienced growing up is a lot of what made me who I am today.”

“Connections” will be followed by other episodes of “MSG Shorts” that spotlight the diversity in the Knicks front office and feature first-person interviews with Knicks President Steve Mills and Knicks General Manager Scott Perry. With Mills and Perry, the Knicks currently have the only African-American President and General Manager combination in the NBA.

Coverage will also include recent “Conference Room B” interviews with Knicks Head Coach David Fizdale, acclaimed actor Michael K. Williams, hip-hop artist Erik B and rapper Melle Mel. As part of the interview with Fizdale, journalist Brandon “Jinx” Jenkins sits down with the first-year coach to discuss the importance of his African-American heritage and working alongside Steve Mills and Scott Perry.

Viewers will also get to watch former Knicks star Larry Johnson and former Rangers goalie Kevin Weekes meet up with world-renowned chef Marcus Samuelsson at his Red Rooster restaurant in Harlem during an episode of “Unfiltered,” where they sit down over a meal to discuss the significance of Black History Month.

All programming airing on MSG Networks will also be available on MSG GO, MSG Networks’ live streaming and video on demand platform for smartphones, tablets and computers.
